Transparent Machine Usage with Our Credit System

We’ve implemented a transparent credit system for machine usage. Each piece of equipment is charged by its actual operating time, calculated by the minute. This means you only pay for machine runtime – not preparation time, material changes, or programming. This ensures a safe, efficient, and stress-free experience, allowing you to focus on your projects without time pressure.

Professional Workshops: Alt-Makers will invite Professionals to use the space and machines to teach specialty skills. Our professional workshops are available to the general public, but our members will receive discounts and a percentage of available slots will be reserved for members to sign up

Credit Packs: Individual credits are 0.10€ per credit. Check out our machine use table to see how many credits it costs to run each machine. Credit Packs are valid for a year to top up Membership Credits for those occasional big projects.

Machine Bookings: Different machines take different amounts of time to set up and to clean up after. Instead of just allowing members to book an hour, each machine has a booking length laid out in our machine use table to make it more relaxed when using machines with longer setup times.

Machine Use Table

Booking session: Refers to the amount of time that you can reserve online. Memberships allow to book 1 to 4 booking sessions/day, depending on tier. Booking sessions include cleaning time. Please take into account that it is much appreciated by the whole community that you leave the machines in the state you like to find them.

It is not required to book a machine in order to use it, if a machine is not in use and is not booked then it works on a first come first serve basis. The time of the next upcoming reservation will be displayed on the machine to be able to tell if there is enough time to complete your task and reservations can be seen in the member portal up to 2 weeks in advance. If a machine is reserved and the member does not come to use their reservation the reservation will be removed after 20 minutes.
